At Ten Percent Happier, I’ve taken ownership of an 11 year-old Rails application that serves the Ten Percent Percent Happier Android and iOS mobile apps. I’ve led the development of new features to support live meditation coaching, rate-limiting and fraud prevention and AI-based meditation recommendations. I also supported various team-facing and user-facing features built with plain old Rails view, Svelte and React. I work in a small team of product managers and mobile engineers to drive the application forward in a sustainable and maintainable way, always balancing a skateboard-first, iterative approach with writing quality, maintainable code.
Develop web and mobile applications using a variety of technologies including Ruby on Rails, React Native, TypeScript, and Elm. Work with clients to prioritize features for and de-risk MVPs. Establish best practices in new and existing codebases including code review, iterative development, and testing.
FollowApp is a remote patient monitoring platform that enables patients to recover from cardiac surgery in the comfort of their home. During my time at HRT, I’ve gone from a fledgeling developer to lead RoR developer and taken FollowApp from MVP to a polished, customizable patient care platform.
I provide web-based client database and invoicing platform for small landscaping businesses built with Ruby on Rails. As my first foray into software development, I aimed to keep my system as simple as it would allow, focusing on lean and easy to follow code. I’m currently supporting a local company with a client-base of over 200 people.
I assisted in the design and execution of neuroscience experiments to understand the neurobiological underpinnings of learning and memory. I facilitated various experiments looking into the implantation and manipulation of memories in mice.
